Brazil SanCoffee is excited to be named as a finalist for the IQFA Awards in Ireland in July 2023. Belfast Coffee Roasters are honored to be recognized alongside other outstanding businesses and proud that our coffee has made it to the finals for Best Hot Beverages 2023. This coffee, which is fully traceable and transparently traded, originates from the San Antonio estate in the South of Minas Gerais.
SanCoffee is a cooperative consisting of 20 fazendas or estates. SanCoffee operates a centralized lab, warehouse, and dry mill, along with a team of Q Graders who oversee quality management for all member estates. By working together through the central lab, estates can leverage the collective experience of the group. Furthermore, having control over the warehouse and dry mill allows for complete traceability and precise milling specifications for customers.
As a collaborative export partnership, SanCoffee has successfully mitigated the impact of a low market price, often providing growers with premiums that are 30-50% higher than local and C price market rates. SanCoffee and its members are dedicated to enhancing economic sustainability by empowering members to sell above local market rates. This coffee, graded at 80+ points, boasts flavors of hazelnut, caramel, and honey, making it an exceptional single origin coffee and a valuable addition to any blend. SanCoffee has a longstanding commitment to sustainability, focusing on environmental preservation and social responsibility to improve living conditions in surrounding communities and support future generations.
