This decaffeinated Mexican coffee comes from the ‘La Laja’ farm near Huatusco village in Veracruz. The farm is known for its sustainability efforts and holds Rainforest Alliance and 4C certifications. The decaffeination process, known as the ‘Mountain Water Process,’ is an organic, chemical-free method that uses water from Pico de Orizaba, Mexico’s tallest mountain, to gently remove caffeine from the beans. This naturally decaffeinated coffee offers sweet chocolate flavors with subtle caramel notes and a crisp finish.

A Word on Fire & Flow’s Coffee Sourcing: Specialty coffee, to us, means complete transparency all the way back to the farm, ensuring that producers are compensated above market price for their dedication to growing high-quality coffee. These plants demand constant care and attention to yield the healthiest, top-quality fruit, necessitating significant effort from producers committed to cultivating specialty coffee for our enjoyment. Ensuring fair compensation for farm owners is just one aspect of responsible sourcing. We also prioritize how profits benefit the community, rewarding those who support producers, such as cherry pickers. The farms we collaborate with not only provide fair wages to their teams but also invest in schools, health clinics, and community centers to support the entire community. We believe that contented individuals produce the finest coffee.
