Finding delicious organic decaf coffee can be tough. Many options are made from low-quality beans that aren’t traceable back to their source. However, we’ve discovered a fantastic Swiss Water process organic coffee from a group of farmers in Honduras.
This coffee is cultivated by a collective of farmers who pick the cherries and send them to a local mill, rather than processing them themselves. At the mill, the cherries are sorted and made into washed coffee. The outer fruit layer is removed before the beans are washed and dried on concrete patios.
All the farmers are certified organic.
The coffee is then decaffeinated using the Mountain Water process, which is free from chemicals, ensuring that the flavour is preserved as much as possible.
The Swiss Water® process relies on water and natural soluble compounds from the raw coffee, allowing caffeine to be gently removed without any chemical solvents or residues. This method keeps the coffee’s original flavour, taste, and unique traits intact.
Swiss Water® process coffee is certified to be 99.9% caffeine-free.
