Description
Coffees roasted to medium length are starting to taker a darker colour, and a more balanced taste. The richer brown colour comes from the exposure to heat bringing out the oils within the coffee beans. Medium roasted coffees are enjoyed by a large portion of coffee fans because the roast starts to create a more traditional flavour, whilst creating a balance between acidity and body. Grab a medium roasted coffee to enjoy the coffee’s natural flavour profile alongside some smoky qualities!
Medium roasts go by City, Breakfast, Regular, and American roasts.
The Coffees
Move – Tasting notes of milk chocolate, praline and orange marmalade. The Move blend can be enjoyed through any brew style, but to bring out the chocolatey and orangey flavours best, why not try AeroPress, espresso/moka pot, or using a classic cafetiere method. The beans are ethically sourced from Papua New Guinea, (famous for its rich and chocolatey flavours), and Colombia where the coffee is classically nutty, fruity, and chocolatey.
Timor-Leste Remagoa –Â Tasting notes of Rum, Raisin, Roasted Hazelnut and Caramelised Butter.Â
Ethiopia Lekempte – Tasting notes of spice, melon, and toffee. Organic, Fairtrade, 100% Arabica coffee grown in coffee’s birthplace – Ethiopia! This roast is clean and smooth-bodied coffee, with a hugely perfumed and floral aroma. West of Addis Ababa lies Nekemte, a market town and hub for the primary cooperatives that supply Oromia Coffee Farmers Co-operative Union (OCFCU), a secondary cooperative. Locally, the coffee produced here is known as Lekempti in Amharic or Nekemte/Neqemte in Oromo. Primary cooperatives consist of coffee-growing members who harvest and process their own beans.

All that’s left to do is to choose the grind size that would best suit your brew style. Coffee grind size is important, as different brew methods need different grind coarseness in order to achieve the right extraction rates. Here’s a tip for you, in order to maximise the coffee taste in your cup, you should opt for beans and grind at home to make the drink as fresh as possible. In need of a grinder?Â
