We responsibly obtain trees from local partners for our Premium Wood models of the beloved C40 Mk4 Nitro Blade grinder. We meticulously choose the most exquisite timber pieces to craft our 100% natural veneers. The process of transforming timber into fine veneer sheets unveils the captivating natural patterns of the wood grain. Each veneer used in our C40 grinders is thoughtfully selected and precisely cut. As trees are a precious natural resource, it is crucial to source them responsibly and ensure that each grinder showcases the wood’s beauty to its fullest extent.

Our dedicated artisans expertly apply the veneer onto the stainless steel grinder body, followed by a thorough sanding and polishing with natural hard wax oil. This process is repeated multiple times to achieve the desired smooth and glossy finish. Working with hard woods makes this a particularly challenging procedure, but the end result is immensely rewarding for us. The fusion of steel’s durability with the elegance and warmth of wood has been central to our design philosophy from the very beginning.
The visual impact is crucial, as is the user’s tactile experience. This distinction can be observed, felt, and even heard during use. The Comandante C40, an iconic high-performance grinder, features an innovative burr set known as the Nitro Blade. The latest Mk4 generation has further improved upon this design.
