Recommendations

1. Medium-dark or dark roast beans are recommended for espresso. Light, medium-light and medium roasts are not recommended. If you choose a medium or medium-light roast, use a separate coffee tamper.
2. For combined distribution and tamping, pair the device with a slow-flow basket, such as a standard or convex stepped basket. With a high-extraction, fast-flow basket, tamp the grounds separately with a coffee tamper.
