We add new machines to our range carefully. We’re not here to shift kit for kit’s sake — if we’re recommending something to an independent operator, it needs to earn its place. La San Marco has earned it.
Founded in Italy in 1920, La San Marco has spent over a century building espresso machines that sit at the intersection of tradition and serious engineering. They’re not a brand that shouts about themselves. They let the coffee do the talking. They’re a recognised world leader in lever machines, but their electronic range is just as strong — and it’s the full picture that made us want to bring them in.
What we like about La San Marco, as an independent supplier, is that they make machines for operators who care. Not badge machines. Not compromise machines. If your coffee is genuinely important to you — to your brand, your customer experience, your reputation — this is the kind of manufacturer worth knowing about.
We’re starting with three models that cover a decent spread of what independent cafés and hospitality venues actually need.
La 125
The La 125 is La San Marco’s new flagship — built for contemporary baristas and coffee shops, where aesthetics and functionality sit in balance. Exceptional thermal stability and individually controlled brew groups give baristas confidence and repeatability, even under peak service pressure. The interface is intuitive — a 2.8″ touchscreen display, soft-touch backlit keypads and simplified maintenance routines mean it’s not intimidating to run day to day. It’s also built with sustainability in mind — recyclable stainless steel and aluminium construction, with a thermal insulation system designed to reduce energy consumption. Available in standard and tall cup versions.
La D
The La D was developed to mark La San Marco’s centenary and is their highest expression of electronic extraction — giving users the ability to choose personalised temperature and pressure profiles at every stage of the pull. It’s available in two or three group configurations and in multiple variants, including multiboiler with fully programmable temperature and pressure. The floating touchscreen display and LED lighting system make it as visually striking as it is technically capable — and it cuts energy consumption significantly compared to equivalent machines. A serious machine for serious operators.
La E Luxury
The E Luxury is something else entirely. The body is made entirely of 1cm thick tempered glass, making the internal mechanics fully visible — a genuine design statement that transforms the machine into a centrepiece. Multicolour LED technology lets you customise the lighting to suit your space, and management is fully digital, with a soft-touch keypad and 2.8″ colour graphic display. If your venue has a strong visual identity and you want the machine to be part of it, this is worth a serious look.
