Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri, an Italian design pair, crafted the Collar collection for coffee lovers. For true coffee enthusiasts, taste is key. The traditional Italian stovetop espresso maker, or “Moka Pot,” is essential for making a rich, barista-quality brew at home. Enjoy your espresso in various styles: single, double, or as a macchiato, or add it to a caffé latte. The Moka pot is compatible with all types of stoves, including induction, when paired with a steel adapter.

How to make an espresso with the Collar Espresso Maker
· Fill the base with water to just below the safety valve (max 0.24 L).
· Insert the funnel filter.
· Loosely fill the funnel filter with finely ground espresso coffee, without overfilling or tamping. Smooth it over with a spoon or finger and wipe any coffee grounds off the lip.
· Note: It is also possible to brew half of the max. volume by using the enclosed additional filter plate. Fill the base with 0.12 L water and spoon in ground coffee to the middle of the funnel filter and put the loose additional filter plate on top.
· Check that the rubber gasket and filter plate are properly in place underneath the top section. Screw the top section firmly onto the base.
· Place the espresso maker on low to medium heat, keeping the handle outside the heating hob. The coffee will then rise into the top section.
· Listen carefully—when the espresso maker starts a gurgling sound, take it off the heat and wait for the noise to stop.
· Carefully open the lid, stir the espresso with a spoon and then it is ready to serve.
· The brewing takes 4–6 minutes, depending on the intensity of heat.
· The Collar espresso maker serves 0.24 L.
· Note: If using a gas cooktop make sure the flame does not extend up the side of the pot.
