This dripper features a unique trapezoidal shape, spiral ribs, and two small holes that help the brewed coffee drain efficiently. These design elements make it easier to achieve consistent results when brewing by hand.

The two holes facilitate a slower extraction, which leads to a more uniform coffee flavour. While this consistency appeals to coffee experts, the Hario Pegasus 03 is created for those new to pourover coffee. To assist beginners, Hario has included measurement markings for different coffee grounds on the side and a stable base that fits securely on various carafes, mugs, and tumblers. There’s even a “peep hole” to let you see the coffee flow.
