How the Convex Basket Works - A deeper basket creates a thicker coffee puck. This change alters how water flows. Pressure concentrates and resistance grows, which slows down the extraction. Water stays in contact with the grounds longer for a more even brew. This cuts down on channeling and makes your espresso more consistent.

Advanced Ceramic Carbon Coating - This coating stops scratches and fading. We apply the ceramic layer at very high heat to bond it to the stainless steel. It is food-safe and has a matte-black finish. It resists WDT needles and handles heat up to 300C. No chemicals leach into your drink.

Better Sweetness via Thicker Pucks - Flat baskets make coffee thin. This often forces you to grind too fine, which causes channeling. The IKAPE basket has a tapered 32mm bottom. It packs an 18g dose into a deeper bed. This shape controls water flow to stop channeling and brings out a syrupy sweetness.

CNC Precision and Design - We use CNC moulding for the conical shape. This works with the ceramic finish to help water soak the coffee evenly. It makes light roasts taste smooth and balanced instead of too sharp.

Easy to Clean - The ceramic-carbon surface is non-stick. Coffee oils and tiny grounds do not stick to the walls. You can rinse it or wipe it with a cloth to keep it clean. There is no stale smell or residue.

Tips

• The IKAPE Black Variable Diameter Basket fits flush in your portafilter. It works with standard tamping stations.
• 54mm to 32mm (Height: 33mm): Fits 54mm portafilters like Breville. Use for 16g to 18g doses.
• 58mm to 32mm (Height: 33mm): Fits standard 58mm portafilters. Use for 16g to 18g doses.
• 58mm to 32mm (Height: 38mm): A deeper profile for more coffee. Use for 18g to 22g doses. Pick this if you use a puck screen.

Note: Adjust Your Grind: This basket increases pressure. You must grind coarser than you do with flat baskets. If the machine chokes, grind coarser.

Roast Tips:

• Light Roasts: Grind slightly less coarse to reduce acidity.
• Medium-Dark Roasts: Grind coarser for chocolate notes and more aroma.
• Puck Screens: Use the 38mm height for 18g doses if you use a screen.
