IKAPE V6 Impact Coffee Tamper-Mini

The new design of the coffee tamper breaks away from the traditional spring that applies a steady 30 pounds of pressure using a calibrated, constant-force spring. Instead, the IKAPE V6 tamper features a shock impact system that does not rely on a fixed pressure spring. It employs a bias spring inside that, when pressed, realigns itself. Releasing the spring sends a strong jolt, pressing the coffee grounds into a compact puck.

Achieving 30 pounds of force is simple with this tamper. It includes two trigger springs—one at 15 pounds and another at 30 pounds. These aren’t spring-loaded presses on the coffee itself, but on the top of the tamper. When you push the trigger spring, it activates an impact spring inside. This spring then propels the tamper with a powerful force against the coffee grounds, forming a perfect puck. With the 15-pound spring, you can still generate over 30 pounds of impact force. This makes it easy to press with just enough force to create a well-shaped coffee puck while keeping the effort low.

The tamper has a small shape designed to fit comfortably in your hand. Its simple design makes pressing easy even with a light touch. You only need to gently press, and it does the rest.

Made from food-grade 304 stainless steel and aluminum alloy, the IKAPE tamper is safe to use. Its large threaded bottom leaves clear grooves on the coffee puck after pressing. This increases contact between the coffee and water, helping extraction stay even and efficient.

Unlike other tampers, this one does not trap coffee particles. Its powerful impact pushes nearly all the coffee into a smooth, compact puck. After pressing, the bottom stays clean, with no loose coffee particles left behind.
