The K1 features a 51mm basket that can hold 14 to 18 grams of ground coffee, depending on the roast. This size meets standard home espresso maker specifications. For the best flavor, we suggest using 16 grams of coffee.

With an 18 bar extraction pressure, the K1 delivers professional-quality espresso. Its powerful built-in motor ensures you get a rich, golden concentrate. You can feel like a pro when brewing with this device.

It has two separate compartments for coffee. One can hold 15 grams of ground coffee, perfect for fresh grinding at home or outdoors. The other is a capsule holder, which works with small coffee capsules. You can switch between them easily for different scenarios, such as camping or commuting.

The coffee maker runs on a large 2000mAh battery that can make up to 100 cups under normal use. It currently does not heat water, so it’s only for extracting espresso, not for hot water.

Extraction takes around 40 seconds. After preparing the coffee puck, press and hold the power button until the espresso starts to flow. You can pause the process by pressing the button again. If you don’t stop it, the machine will shut off automatically after 40 seconds to protect itself.

The water tank holds a maximum of 100 ml. It has two marked levels for 50 ml and 100 ml. Usually, 60 ml of water is enough for a single shot, giving you about 35-40 ml of concentrated espresso.

Keep in mind that the basket can be pressed with a tamper up to 30 pounds of pressure. Do not use very fine coffee grounds; a medium grind similar to Niche’s 17 scale is best. If the powder is too fine, extraction may go wrong.

Also, make sure the coffee powder bin is tightly closed. If it’s loose, water may leak during brewing. This isn’t a defect, just tighten the threads before use.
