The Farm: Established in 2004, Café Femenino is a remarkable success story. It originated from a collective of 464 female coffee producers in Peru with the goal of establishing a fairer trading platform within the coffee industry. Today, it operates in nine countries worldwide, providing support to numerous women farmers.
The initiative has pioneered an exclusive market for coffee produced solely by women, driving social change and empowering disadvantaged female coffee growers. We take great pride in being part of this extraordinary movement. Our specific coffee is cultivated by 800 women who are members of six associations within the CECANOR Co-Operative. The involvement of numerous farms results in a diverse range of coffee varietals, including the common Bourbon, Catuai, Catimor, and Typica, as well as the more uncommon Gran Colombia and Villa Sarchi. Villa Sarchi, a natural mutation of Bourbon, originated in the Costa Rican village of Sarchi. Known for thriving in shaded areas and at higher elevations, this varietal stands out for its unique characteristics.
Wogan Coffee: Our packaging is recyclable under the LDPE4 category and is shipped in cardboard boxes sourced from fully sustainably managed forests. Our deliveries are made in fully loaded electric vans powered by our solar panels. For our wholesale clients, we provide a zero-waste alternative using plastic tubs that are collected and reused during subsequent deliveries to minimize plastic usage.

Our goal is to become a leading independent company dedicated to supporting the local Bristol community and beyond. This effort supplements our existing work with local charities like Talk Club, Bristol Team Canteen, and Insane in the Men Brain.
