Ibimbo is a village located in the Kasese District, nestled in the Rwenzori foothills. Farmers there usually cultivate 1 to 2 acres of land, situated between 1700 and 2000 metres above sea level. Collins, an officer from Agri Evolve, supports local farmers by sharing important advice on growing techniques. The farmers process their ripe cherries through a lengthy fermentation before sun-drying them. This careful method enhances the flavours and aromas in the coffee.
The Rwenzori Mountains are located in western Uganda and are the source of all Ugandan coffees. Local farmers usually cultivate 1 to 2 acres of land. They sell their ripe coffee cherries to washing stations run by Agri Evolve.
